Connecting changemakers worldwide
The Nobel Peace Center wants to provide young, aspiring, visionary changemakers with the inspiration and skills to become effective leaders who can proactively use dialogue to prevent conflict, solve problems and build a better world.
The Nobel Peace Center believes that dialogue and engagement are key to creating skillful changemakers. This platform provides courses, events and dialogue communities to provide you with those skills.
This is a new, highly selective and exciting extracurricular leadership program available to master’s degree students worldwide. Candidates work with our partners for their master’s thesis, addressing great challenges related to peace, dialogue and/or sustainability.
We would like to inform you that this project is at this moment in a pilot phase. We invite changemakers to join our platform to help us shape the future of the Ignitor community. In this first phase, we are open for courses, dialogue communities, events and a few other functions. We welcome you to join and explore the existing functions, and give us feedback.
Students seek nomination in the Ignitor Fellowship while enrolled in an undergraduate degree programme. The nomination process will last for several months, enabling the most dedicated students to be chosen for the programme.
Undergraduate students interested in the programme will be invited on to our online global community where they can participate in events, challenges and dialogues whilst networking and learning about dialogue. The engagement is central to the student’s nomination process.
To further promote dialogue, peace, and sustainability, the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo is launching the Ignitor Fellowship to provide dialogue leadership development to master’s degree candidates showing the most promise of making a positive impact on the world today.
To succeed in our endeavours, the Ignitor Fellowship seeks to partner with leading universities worldwide that are interested in accessing the considerable benefits which we see arising from this programme (e.g. talent, research, branding).
We welcome engaged and conscious corporations, foundations and NGOs to partner with us, to support us in our endeavour to create the best platform for dialogue and exchange of views.
